If you want a break from other try-hard BR games with some amusing audio, vibrant visuals, and an interesting change to the genre, there's some potential here, however the game lacks any real longevity. Don't expect to go too try hard as combat RNG will quickly irritate sweats. Single-player relatively rage free BR game that has some unique game play. I didn't spend enough time with this class to objectively understand it's strengths and weaknesses. There are interesting elements, such as collecting items/intel from a distance, but the intel is rather easy to obtain once you understand that most cabins with beam devices attached have a monitor displaying the approximate location of all remaining players at all times. I spent little time with the recon class. O The player/director that adds unpredictability to game play O item pickups are haphazardly assigned to each slot, requiring you to look at the d-pad input for the item that may save (or cost) your life in split second situations. Most end game battles boil down to a lack of arrows and swinging axes wildly. This is due to skill that increases melee axe damage from base of 150 to 225 per hit. This boils down utilizing for sneak attack sniping or just dumb luck if you hit a spastic moving target who's aware you are aiming. O Aiming in live battles with arrows on console is negligible. Enemies will land hits that appear visually to be the same distance as ones that you missed before or after an attempt. O Strong downfall is one on one melee combat. O The player/director that adds unpredictability to game play (closing zones, nuking zones, bolstering players ect.) O Has an AI only mode (similar to Overwatch) that won't shame you for trying to learn a new game and it's mechanics. Simple 3 character class systems with unique skills for either mobility/range, recon/situational awareness or combat. Gather wood to unlock shields and arrows for range and defense. Stay warm, gather darwinium for unlocking skills. O Generally simply game mechanics with only a few variables. O The in game audio is amusing and gives a feel like you are a part of a live arena combat show O Visually appealing, vibrant color and a UI somewhat resembling Overwatch with art design and character feel of Dauntless/Fortnite (old WOW cartoon art styles).
